Mr. Bress has been practicing in the estate planning field since graduating law school and has been a principal member of Pessin Katz Law, P.A. since 1993. His broad-based tax background serves his clients well when drafting wills, administering estates and giving elder law planning advice.

Mr. Bress is an adjunct professor for the University of Baltimore where he teaches Elder Law in the law school, as well as Taxation in the school’s Masters and LLM Graduate Tax Program.

He has headed his law firm’s Estate and Elder Law departments over the years and represents clients throughout Maryland.

Rebecca Rothey has more than a decade of experience in planned giving. Most recently she served for eight years at Catholic Charities, as director of planned and principal gifts and earlier as director of gift planning. Before joining Catholic Charities, Rothey served as manager of major and planned gifts and major gifts officer at the American Red Cross of Central Maryland. She holds an undergraduate degree in philosophy from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and certification as a fundraising specialist from Goucher College. Rothey is a member of the board of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council and of the Editorial Advisory Board of Planned Giving Today, a past member and president of the board of Chesapeake Planned Giving Council and a past board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Joseph V. Gulfo, MD, MBA, is the author of Innovation Breakdown: How the FDA and Wall Street Cripple Medical Advances and contributor of Inc.com's Diagnoses from the Trenches column. A faculty member of the GLG Institute, he has more than 25 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries. In 2012, he received the American Business Awards’ Maverick of the Year Award and was an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist. He teaches graduate cancer biology and business and entrepreneurship classes and maintains an educational cancer biology blog.

Dr. Gulfo is currently CEO of Breakthrough Medical Innovations, a team of industry experts specializing in biopharma and medtech product and commercial development, sales and marketing, regulatory (FDA and CE), quality, and policy advocacy.
