Dr. Rosemary Calderalo has been a leader in the nonprofit field for over 25 years, and has a specialty in planned giving and major gifts. She has worked in executive management with the American Red Cross, United Way, and The Salvation Army, focusing on resource development and fundraising. She’s been an adjunct professor at various colleges and universities and has also worked as a change management consultant. Rosemary recently moved to the Baltimore area and worked with Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake as Chief Development Officer before beginning her current position with the Baltimore Community Foundation as Director of Gift Planning. At BCF she works with donors, professional advisors and their clients, helping charitably minded individuals find the tax-friendly ways to make contributions, while supporting them to find a match between what’s in their hearts and dreams with appropriate giving opportunities.

Eugene Steuerle is the Richard B. Fisher Chair at the Urban Institute and author of a column and blog, The Government We Deserve ( His latest book, Dead Men Ruling, suggests that we live in a time of opportunity, not austerity but are bound in mainly by a multi-decade effort of both political parties to control, not enable, the future. Among past positions, he has served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Tax Analysis, President of the National Tax Association, chair of the Technical Panel advising Social Security on methods, Vice-President of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, and economic coordinator of the Treasury Department's efforts leading to the Tax Reform Act of 1986. He co-founded the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center, the Urban Institute Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy, and Act for Alexandria, a community foundation that he also chaired.

His research and writings span eighteen books and over 1,500 articles and columns. He received his Ph.D. with distinction in public finance, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1975.

He has been a guest speaker at the Baltimore Business Journal, Baltimore Family Office Group, CFA Society Pittsburgh, CFA Society Stamford, Carey School of Business, Loyola University Financial Management Association, Towson University Investment Group’s International Markets Summit and the Wednesday Club. As an Adjunct Professor, he has taught “Investments and Equity Security Analysis” and “Financial Principles of Financial Management” at Towson University’s College of Business and Economics. He served as President of the CFA Society of Baltimore, and now serves on the Board and the Program Committee. Niall founded the Society’s Baltimore Business Review and serves as Co-Editor.
